Bocaditos (Cocadas)
Cookies, I know. Not an entree, and definitely not the most hyped thing on the menu and yet, these little guys definitely held their own. Still, after more than a decade of being vegan, and remembering a time when I was lucky just to find fries not cooked in lard, I've missed the freedom to just order what I want. It's a choice I've made so no regrets. But, I've also learned to lower expectations, especially when it comes to desserts that try to recreate childhood favorites. I grew up loving coconut macaroons, but every vegan version I've tried over the years just never quite hit. Eventually, you chalk it up to nostalgia and move on. So one late night, with a craving in full swing, I ended up at Ginger Mule because, to be honest, it was the only spot still open and vegan friendly. The reviews were glowing, the Yelp photos promising, but after enough disappointments, you learn not to get your hopes up. The space itself was surprisingly warm and welcoming, beautifully done with some dim lighting. Soft enough for some intimacy but bright enough so you could actually see who you were sitting across from. But alas, the place was packed, so I grabbed the cocadas to go. And wow. That caramelized bottom? Absolute genius. The texture, the flavor, it was exactly what I remembered, and somehow even better. Rich, toasty, a little crisp on the edges but still soft inside. It hit every note. Contrary to this novel, I'm really not one to write a review, but I just wanted to say thanks, for allowing me to savor a memory one more time.
Enchiladas
I have had the enchiladas several times. Several of my non-vegan friends/family have also had them. They are always delicious, and the rice and beans compliments the sauce and the filling. The portion is generous (yay for left overs!)
Butternut Squash Lasagna
This is my favor. It is a hearty, delicious, beautiful meal served with a tasty small salad and GF toast! The chef slices the butternut squash thick and puts a marinara sauce on the slices. It is served with dairy free cheese. I leave so full and happy!!
Kindness Burger
Quickly simply the best veggie burger I've ever had--perfection.
FRIED RICE YOUR WAY
Ohhh my gawd! This fried rice was so tasty with the fried portobello mushrooms. I'm craving it again, next I'll try it with the cauliflower.
Sweet & Tangy Brussels
I ordered more than brussel sprouts - I also ordered crab puffs, cozy curry, and tres leches. Everything was delicious! My taste buds were so happy. It was my first time trying this restaurant and I'm hooked. I will definitely return.
Cozy Curry
Ginger Mule's Cozy Curry is out of this world! Such an incredibly flavored main course dish. It perfectly pairs with the the Fried Tofu. The curry sauce is perfectly balanced, and offers the perfect balance of sweet and salty. The entire dish is perfectly put together, making it a one of a kind dish for sure. The portioning of this dish is incredible as well, providing a good helping of white rice, curry with all the fixings, and the most perfect bites of sweet plantain to complement the entire dish. Hot Shroom Sandwich
Hii Guys, I had an excellent experience at Ginger Mule. It was my first time the staff was very friendly and inviting my waiter Trent was superb he walked me through the menu he is very informative. My order was immaculate the presentation the flavor of the sandwich and the sauces acommpanied my the sweet potato waffle fries danced across my pallet.I had a wonderful time there. The energy was great! My meal was followed by greeting the manager on duty Kristopher which was a pleasure to meet also! 10/10 EVERYTHING!!! I will be back with friends and family! Avocado Toast
This was one of the most delicious avocado toast we have had. They did a great job in choosing the right bread to support the avocado tomatoes and the sprouts. I've had others and they just all seem to lack something.Ginger Mule's avo toast is something I will be ordering again.
Cozy Curry
Also order Cesar salad, sweet potato fries, kids grilled cheese, cheese pizza and chives nachos. It was our first time here and its taste amazingly delicious. Surprisingly our kids love it also. They also enjoyed their Brazilian lemonade and we enjoyed our BB smash & Oaxacan Old fashioned!!! We are coming back again!
